One of the most typical deserts of this region is the crostata, commonly known in English as ‘tart’. Their inviting aromas and brightly-coloured jams create a culinary pleasure which goes beyond mere taste, they remind us of tradition, of our grandmothers lovingly baking in the old, wood-burning ovens which were once present in every home in the valley.
